What We Do

Our purpose is to say “Thank you” to the men and women of our Armed Forces who have been injured in the service to our country. We do this by inviting them and their families to spend a day in our historic town, a town with a long and distinguished history of supporting our Service Men and Women.

We are the home town of Admiral Chester Nimitz, WWII Commander of the Pacific. The National Museum of the Pacific War, the largest collection of Pacific War exhibits in the country, is located on Main Street and includes the hotel built by Admiral Nimitz’s grandfather. We are also the home town of the former Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Michael Hagee.

Our community has a long and distinguished history of supporting our service men and women.  We are as proud of our newest warriors and heroes as we are of our past native sons and daughters who have distinguished themselves in service to their country. To show our appreciation we provide:

We also encourage our visitors to enjoy the sight-seeing and shopping around Fredericksburg.
